Sponsor a child to Ngogwe Baskerville Primary school.

Ngogwe Baskerville Primary School is a Christian founded school. It is Government Aided under Universal Primary Education (UPE). The growth of enrollment in the school has increase demand on delivery in puts like classroom stocks, teacher ratio to pupils, instructional materials and teachers houses. Despite registered Success of the UPE program, a number of challenges still exist such as low completion rates, high dropout and repetitions. Teacher and pupil absenteeism, weak capacity for school inspection and inadequate resources for infrastructure and instructional materials.

 

Why sponsor a child to Ngogwe Baskerville school?

There are 433 children in Ngowe Baskerville Primary School, and they are the future. What we teach them, show them and  what you give might change their future to the better.

YARD cannot directly help individuals in the whole district to get out of poverty, but you can directly help one child in Ngogwe Beskerville Primary School by giving him or her an education, health and home to help end the cycle of poverty.

When you sponsor a child in Ngogwe Baskerville primary school, you often pay your donation on Termly basis. The average amount is around 40 Euros or 48 US $ or30 pounds  per Term of child schooling. There are 3 Terms per year and the fees can be paid each Term.

Your donation is used to provide your sponsored child with an education including Nutrition on daily basis, Uniform, shoes and stationery.

Some of the money will go towards renovating of classes, clean water, gardening and construction of the schools’ kitchen. You can sponsor a child on your own. Some wish to sponsor a child as a family or you can sponsor a child as a team at a work place. These are just a few ideas to get you started on how you can make a difference to a child’s life.

 

What you receive as sponsor

We know how important it is to know that your support is making a difference. And we love sharing the good news with you. As one of our sponsors, you will receive:

  • A new sponsor welcome letter containing all the information you need about your sponsorship

  • Your child’s profile- completed by your child to introduce his or her self and share a bit more information with you such as their interests, hobbies and favorite subjects at school. This is updated annually and sent out in the second half of each year

  • Our news letter, which shares stories from pupils and families involving in our education across the district and Nation

  • Invitation to YARD events so that you can see the difference that your support is making firsthand
